I'm Sorry I can't Help it! (#2 Aston) - updated!
Dropped off Johnny at lunch
Adrian gave Johnny a preop check with no major issues found (phew)
Boy he knows his stuff! - within 100 yds of driving he'd spotted the "issues" I wanted them to look at
We talked about tyres and came up with a couple of options - DBS alloys with std 295's on or existing alloys and up the tyre to 285's I'm favouring the latter as the existing alloys are the light weight ones.
Probably will go to PSS's as well.
I will need something wider to get all the extra power & torque down

There are only 101 V12 roadsters in the world, I looked at 3.
Cheapest was ex factory car (well thrashed) £60k plus my car, there was another customer car at similar money but the interior was cream
The nice pearl white one was my car plus £100k
The V12 is heavier (mainly on the nose)
I actually like my paddle shift with the light weight seats which you cannot get in the V12
No news on a V12VS roadster in the next 5 years so this was the plan.
It will have ~40 BHP more than the V12, similar torque and less weight

If I REALLY had to get out of it the Bamford Rose guys could always put a stock 4.7 back in and sell the engine or indeed sell the car with the 5.0 GT engine
They are getting a really good name now and their modded cars are starting to hold value and become sought after so who knows.
ATEOD I've taken a big hit by buying a new Aston so the cost of this is not a big deal in the bigger picture.
I agree their rep may be the key thing here
Plus it's different. The engines are pretty robust too I think?
Still a gamble though so hats off
Reminds me of David yu with his 600+ bhp GTR chasing more go. Nuts

You have added lightness
I need to hurl 1750 kg round corners like I threw the S2000 around

I suspect that if you've got the money to buy a new Aston and are a bit of a petrol head, this is a no brainer.
