Default The Impossible Dream?

Probably a repost, but I just noticed that Honda are re-running their impossible dream ad.

I find that a bit strange as it includes NSX, S2000 and the F1 team. None of which Honda seem interested in any more.

Did no-one tell the marketing team what's going on?

Those Honda ads have got to be the worst type of new age marketing bollox going and the one with that engine floating about was dire
The parachutists one was interesting, but what's that got to do with cars or Honda??

Obviously gone to an ad agency with to much money and not enough direction

I liked the "Impossible Dream" advert when it first came out.

Very pertinent to the story of Suichiro?? Honda

Now... with no NSX, S2000, F1 it no longer reflects the values of the company.

Trouble is Sub, most ads are full of new-age marketing bollocks; it's actually quite amazing how "if you understand it, it was aimed at you" does work.

It's like the 2CK (2wo C unts in a Kitchen) ads; housewives really believe that mallarkey anout ther Finest Universal Cleaner Known or whatever.

Sadly, Honda's advert seems to be rather dependent on past glories, and I did wonder why they were running it. Well, the new Honda Insect, I know, but WTF?

Its already been made...and so all the developemnt is paid for.

They are running it to counter all the bad press re F1 & Swindon closures.

If they had any money - they'd have new ads defining their new strategy....

What, the 2CK one for Bounty kitchen towels? Me too. Still makes me laugh, two unshaven, big-boned blokes in drag.
Yes, I KNOW they're called Plenty now....

Actually, Honda are collaborating with Vaillant (probably the most prestigious domestic/commercial gas boiler manufacturers in Europe) on a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) project for the European market - pretty shrewd move in my opinion. Also demonstrates their ability to diversify and capitalise on existing expertise.
