Interesting fact about Spoon
it's hardly a fact.. it's one side of a story..
a lot of business starts like that, people learn at one company - don't feel that they are getting the best opportunity, and then move on to do something similar - and possibly do it better..
the point about being ignored.. is pretty universal.. and particularly relevant in Japan. The fact the guy changed his mind about him when he saw the honda uniform is also normal..

And Chrysler worked for GM for a short while. And Ferdy Porsche worked with/for a fair few people, nicking quite a few ideas before combining them superbly into the Volkswagen (i.e. Beetle).
...and so on, and so on.
...even Soichiro Honda started work as an engineer at Toyota, pre-WW2.
As for 2-faced...that's the nature of the industry, certainly outside of Japan. If you'd worked there, you'd know. Honour gets you absolutely nowhere anymore. (I don't like that...one of the reasons I left...)

"Ichijima San got hired as an apprentice at Feel's when he was younger, with hopes of being a driver. After having worked there long enough and after learning all of Kozhu's secrets, he skipped out because Kozhu wouldn't let him be a primary driver in the super taiku series (he wasn't fast enough!). So Ichishima San started he's own company Spoon, using all of Feel's network and trade skills, and with a bit of luck and a flashy yellow/blue paint scheme, managed to overthrow Feel's, with better marketing and overseas support."
In fact Ferrari's first road car was developed entirely by them in 1946/47 using an entirely new V12 engine. Ferrari's relationship with Alfa had ceased on 1 January 938 when Alfa reabsorbed the Alfa racing team, which had been run for them by Ferrari, into their own organisation.
