I wonder how much of the stupid cost is down to Nissan UK inflating the price of parts?

Chris.

I think that Nissan need to do some more work on the Pedestrian Safety System if it cannot tell the difference between a white van and a person............

Yep it's Crispy's car.

11k is taking the piss though. That's 20% of the value of the car, for a bump.

Replacing the pedestrain safety ECU??? Surely a reset would do?

I'm just thinking - GavB set off the bonnet springy thing at the Rockingham Honda technology day.
Wondering how much it would cost to reset.

Sounds like the manufacturers are getting canny to ensure that any repair is an bloody expensive one.

The GTR is quickly becoming uninsurable. Or policies will come with a £12K excess.

The system is counter-Darwinian and ludicrously expensive.

I'll have an MX-5 like Mikey P's, thanks.

Anyone else find that the Posters "have no status" on that forum rather funny?

Very soon if things carry on like this Pete...

I did a quote the other day, and it was well on the wrong side of 1k on a limited mileage, and with over 1k excess

Evo costs me £600, Lotus was even less. Ouch.
