Default It's a fair cop

I thought this was coming and today I got the letter,

Been zapped by a mobile scamera van, alleged speed is 46 in a 30 zone.

Only relevant details are that it wasn't residential and was on a dual carriageway and the recorded speed was only for a moment as I pulled out to overtake a slow truck. I'm not looking to get out of it as I pretty much did what they said.

What am I likely to get in way of punishment ?

I'm annoyed actually Mike as I'm usually quite careful, so far 0 points in 18 years.

I was stuck behind a slow dirty truck for around 10 minutes, he was doing 20 everywhere, and one we got to the DC I gave it a quick bit of right foot, went past him in a flash and then pulled back in and slowed down.

Only problem is that speed camera can't use discretion, only sees in balck and white.

Ah well, 3 point and a fine isn't too bad.

Or you could get lucky and be offered a 1 day driving course occupying a Saturday morning.
