Yep, unfortunately serious.
I managed to seriously damage the S last week in Scotland. Still not sure how it happened but my suspicions (and ego) suggest it was a failed puncture repair which caused it.
At the moment I'm waiting to hear whether the S will be written off or repaired.
If it's written off I'll buy something to get me through the winter and pick up a second hand S in Feb / March.
Or, if it will be repaired it will be a lengthy process and I'll need something to get about in. Although in this scenario I'll still be paying for the S (it's a lease).
Either way, something I can pick up for

My friend's had a couple, a Daimler and a Jag both only 6 cylinder.
The first one was very cheap and a bit of a dog, the Jag was a bit more expensive but an absolute peach, LWB too.
We all took the p*ss out his old man's cars right up until there was a long journey to be done
After a while with the Jag he decided it was costing too much to run day to day so swapped it for an RX8

Brings back memories.
I've never owned one but I had to replace an engine in one when I was an apprentice, a long time ago now.
It came in running on ten cylinders but it was still the smoothest engine I'd ever heard at the time.
Lovely car.
