I considered one as a "fettler" a few years ago but never quite "got it"
IIRC the prototype was up for sale recently

I find the looks a little challenging; my preference would be for a Gordon Keeble.

The 'price of classics' is an oft discussed subject with my friends and I; my biggest regret was not going for a Ferrari 308 GT4 a few years back. Quasi Lancia Stratos looks (unsurprising as they were both styled by Bert One ), and unloved for a long time, daft money is now being asked for them...

... but there's a long overdue 'correction' coming in respect of classic car prices, and more accurately, values.

Most of it is getting up to silly prices because people can't get returns from other investments
I'm looking forward to it

That is a gorgeous sound track. Love that blip on down-shifting. My S65 sounds muted by comparison. This could be the 'Indian summer' for NA V8s until the oiligarcs turn the screws on production again

I think prices are inflated but only time will tell. The analogue car is a dying breed and with a soundtrack like that even more so..

Everything is overpriced at the moment (apart from my BGT) but a lot don't sell. Ebay's classic car section is truly hilarious. I wouldn't care what a 308 is 'worth' because they aren't anything special to drive. That was why they were worth £10K for years. Like that Mondial I think you had. I wouldn't want one of those at any price and people are flogging or trying to flog them at £20K. That's the problem with a lot of classics - they are old cars that are shit to drive. However, it's fashionable at the moment so I will return when the scenesters have found something else to interest them and the bubble has burst.

Barry - I remember us talking about the CV8 when we were in that pub outside Hastings a few years back. I'd rather have a Tiger.

Prices are even more stupid in Europe - have a look here at the variance, as an example:

What are those Dutch traders schmoking?
