Default Kia Cee'd

stolen from another forum

[QUOTE]

Little do people know but a few years ago Kia went shopping and got several senior designers from some of the best car makers. Who, well they went to Audi and VW for the interior designer, BMW for Chassis design and a couple of others for the exterior who well they got Peter Schreyer who was head of Audi Design at the time oh and a smattering of Japenese to help with quality. Now the current KIA has had VW designers look on with confusion that they have created an interior of such quality and at such a low price.

However lets face it the current 5 door KIA Cee'd looks good if nothing special, but this Cab concept in my eyes could have an Audi badge on it and we wouldn't think it looked bad. Its no wonder that with attacks like this VW is going back to the drawing board with the next Golf thats now been delayed by 9 months to give it an even more comprehensive updated.

With a 7 year warranty and if you are not mega badge conscious (Yes I know that's not most of the UK but hey) this could be a cracking car if they release it.

Looks very good

If the interior plastics and the drive are as good as the exterior looks, then this will be a good seller I reckon

With a 7 year warranty .. if they are still cheap, they SHOULD sell loads.

But I bet if they put on a "prestige" badge and charged double, they'd sell more.

Occasionally I watch a TV advertisment which is SO annoying that would refuse to buy the product, regardless as to its merit. Unfortunately the Kia Cee'd advertisment is one of those ads.

WTF is the ad on about? What? Who? Why? When? I don't give a f**k!! Perhaps I am meant to be intrigued by the flashing images and the questions.

Well, I'm not.

I'd love to know which bunch of execs watched the advertisment and clapped at the end, congratulating their brain dead marketing team for coming up with this shite!

Rant over.

Actually, I think most car ads are a bucket of old w ank.

Last memorable one was for the FIAT Ritmo/Strada.

Kia own(ed) Lotus, too.

We used to make unkind jokes about the Japanese car industry; now look at 'em.

Don't be surprised if it happens to Kia, MG, Roewe, Dongfeng...

Surely the most annoying car ad of all time is the Audi A6. More patents than NASA, big deal. NASA subcontracted everything out to Grumman, McDonnel Douglas, Boeing etc etc, who will hold all the patents. And let's face it, who really has the resources to copy a Saturn V anyway?

More to the point - for what purpose? To try and kill the third party parts supply market, that's why
