My lovely GP has got an old Civic Type R and wants one like yours. I questioned the styling and he said, "It's the future." I see what he means now, yours looks mean. Shame your S had to go but very happy for baby Kiteland that he/she has got such stylish wheels.

Very nice motor and I'm sure Baby Kiteland will appreciate the wheels you've purchased

Yes I wasn't too sure about the looks either when they first came out and I still am not 100% about 5 door civics.

The three door styling works for me - but I'm not too sure if it is the future

I had a 1.8 Civic as a courtesey car for a week last week and I warmed to it in that time - hated it when I picked it up.

Handles well and gives you loads of confidence. You're right about the rev counter - I never looked at it. Good mpg - 43 over 300 miles.

However - rear visibility is terrible, but not as bad as front visibility. I was constantly having to re-park it at work as I had no idea where the front of the car was, and it is a very wide car - wider than our ATR.

It would have been a superb car if they'd kept the weight down to a decent level.

I'm sure the Type R will be much better too

Yes forgot to comment on that. Its a very strange design. At speed the window does clear - but at slower speeds I'm not so sure. I'm planning on using some RainX to help the water off.

Front visibility is very much the same as many modern cars - you have to judge where the front is. Our run-about (the Colt) is the same - you get used to it.

As for the width, I've had to make some changes to the garage - its about 7cms wider than my last CTR. It still fits with the mirrors down thankfully.
