Default Last night's Fifth Gear

Further to the topics from the last couple of weeks .. did anyone actually watch last night's programme?

I did .. only the second half tho as the trains were buggered, and managed to catch the bit where Dimbo Timbo spent a day with the Met's finest.
Interesting stuff I thought, but then I'm a bit biased as one of the guys is a (bike) rideout buddy of mine

The series link has now been deleted from my Sky+ box. I watched it to the first ad break and gave up the will to live. Utterly dreadful.

Ever the optimist the Sky+ series link remains on the off chance something interesting will happen.

If not I can fast forward through most of it

I thought last night's was marginally better than the previous couple of weeks (although I still FFWD-ed through whole chunks of it) - but that's not a difficult standard to improve on.

I'm still Sky+'ing it, but - dare I say it - I thought the racing truck feature was interesting, the Suzuki Swift Sport review was refreshing in praising a cheap car for a change rather than just sticking with exotica, and the Mustang Shelby GT500 review was ok, although Plato definitely came over a bit Clarkson when shouting "POWER".

I liked it. The "presenter trial" bit was cruel.

I didn't think the 3rd 'Presenter' was any worse than the ones that actually do the show - which says a lot.
