Default LicenceGuard

I got this e-mail today.

Would anyone take it up?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LicenceGuard is a simple, easy to use plan to help you get from A-B if you lose
your licence through disqualification of points 'totting-up'.

Click the link below to claim your 6 weeks FREE LicenceGuard!

https://www.licenceguard.com/ssl/e/?rn=LG6TEXTC6C1

How does LicenceGuard work?

If you lose your licence through disqualification or totting-up, LicenceGuard
will reimburse your travel costs such as Taxi's, Mini Cabs, Trains or even a
Chauffeur. LicenceGuard Platinum will reimburse any of these costs up to
£15,600 a year.

Why are you giving me LicenceGuard free?

We simply want to show you how easy it is to become a LicenceGuard member. You
do not have to buy anything or give us any payment details.

Is there a catch?

No. As long as you are aged 19 or over (no upper age limit) and have held a full
UK driving licence for more than a year, you are eligible for 6 weeks Bronze
Level membership completely free of charge.

I already have some points – can I still be a member?

Yes, so long as you don't have more than 6 points – you can become a member
even if you already have 6 points, just so long as you are aged over 19 and have
held a full UK driving licence for at least 24 months.

To activate your free membership, simply click belo. You will need to give your
full name, address, email address, telephone numbers, D.O.B. and the renewal
date of your car insurance. There are no costs to you whatsoever.

All your membership documents will be emailed to you as soon as you have been
accepted as a member.

There are a few exclusions such as driving whilst over the alcohol limit or
under the influence of drugs – a full list of terms and conditions, including
exclusions will be emailed to you with your membership documents.

Small Print:
Medex Direct Ltd. only provides details and explanations of the products it

I have somethign similar with a company called St Christopher, also on the Isle of Man.

You can take it out if you have 6 points or less (I'm on 6), it costs me about 50/year (won't bother when the 6 points come off) and mine insures me up to about 3k or something, if I lose my license thru totting up and need alternative transport.

Never needed to put it into practise, touch wood, but they are very friendly on the phone!
