Lithium jumpstarter
Evening all,
I suffered a battery failure just after christmas leaving me stranded in harlow in a car park where no one was interested in letting me jump start using my jump leads. Ended up getting my brother out and got my car started but the battery was Kaput.
I kept saying to myself i would invest in a jumpstarter for my car just incase i had a problem when out and about or on a trackday.
I brought this one and it arrived today.

I was relocating the battery to the boot today on my S2000 and once the battery was disconnected i connected this jumpstarter to the positive and negative leads. I didn't really expect much to be honest because all the work would be done by this tiny 500gram jumpstarter. As soon as it was connected all the electrics switched on. Put the key in the ignition and it turned over started up like it had a 10kg lead acid battery connected to it. It barely even used any charge either. I was very impressed and it goes to show how battery technology has moved on. Im going to keep mine in the boot just incase i need it. It can also be recharged through the cigarette lighter socket so on a long journey you could plug it in to ensure its ready when you need it.
I have used the massive lead acid pack jump starters in the past with little success and within 18 months the batteries inside were dead and they were far more expensive.
Great bit of kit for the price. Worth a look!

MeisterR have been doing a deal on a similar product https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/110...that-start-v8/ so it's interesting to know these work. Convenient size too, mine is a massive acid gel "suitcase" - so never have it handy when I need it !
