Does that mean that they have shrunk in size ?

When I was on the M25 on a regular basis, they could be easily spotted, because they were ugly gray boxes, but today, I just didn't see any.

Between the M3 and the M4 on the newly widened bit? I haven't seen any there in the gantries either. I assume they haven't got round to replacing them yet.

I have "Smartnav" in my s and have the "speedsafe" option which warn's me when i am approaching a camera, and the other day i was VERY impressed when it was accurate enough to even warn me about the variable speed limiton th M25! Its very clever as it keeps bleeping until you are just below the speed limit.

Seen Gatso on the M25 A10 junction (which is currently closed for 72 weeks!!!!). They are through the tunnel where the road works are. FK why though, every time I turn on the radio and hear the traffic report it always says there are jams there, you can't do more than 2MPH.

They've got SPECS round that section. Plenty of people have gone flying past me so either they know something I don't, or they're gonna get a fine in a few days?

On the newly reopened bit between the M4 and M3, they haven't replaced the old cameras yet, as far as I know. There are still there on the overhead gantries between the M3 and A3.

There are none between J16 and J21 at all, for certain.

A SPECS camera is operating through the 40mph roadworks limit between J17 and J18 in both directions however.

Sorry about dragging up an old thread but...
I go between J12 and J21A during the week and I am sure the cameras between J16-15 and J15-J16 were removed.
However, I have seen that they are back and there are a few new sets now too. One between J15 and J14, then one just before you get to J13 anti-clockwise and another before J12 anti-clockwise. There are matching cameras facing the other way. I think these might also be the digital cameras which were rumoured to be put in place earlier in the year.
Does anyone know how long they have been there? They don't appear to be active yet either....

I give that route very often, and i blast it in between the bridges and keep legal on the 50 mph zones.

No fine yet

AFAIK they are only active when a variable speed limit is in effect.

Better safe than sorry though, assume that you are passing a camera every few hundred metres...definitely on the 10 miles south of the M3 I've seen them on.
Caution, the Gatso do operate on some gantries when there are no reduced restrictions in force. I am using a Valentine one detector which picks up Gatsos very accurately. As with all Gatso's if they are out of film then they will not operate until new film has been put into the Cameras, they are not digital. There was speculation that the cameras would be changed to a digital type, but I dont think they have been replaced yet. You need to be carful from the A3 junction all the way round to the M4, the only other motorway I know of with similar cameras in operation most of the time is the M42 around Birmingham.

I can confirm that there are 2 sets of gatsos (on each side of the road)in the overhead signs between Junction 14 and Junction 13 of the M25.

Anti-clockwise -

- Between J14 and J13 under the sign that says 1/3 of a mile till J13 exit
- Between J13 and J12 under 1/3 of a mile till M3 exit sign

Clockwise -
- Between J12 and J13 under the first sign gantry after the M3 slip road has joined the main M25 carriageway
- Between J13 and J14 under the second to last Gantry before the J14 exit.

They are the new digital gatsos and are currently active. However it appears only one, maybe two cameras actually work on each 'bank' of 6
