I did enjoy the race last weekend but 3/4 of the way through it was like last year for the leaders at least. There is too big a gap between the top 5 for my liking and perhaps it will get better as the season progresses. I do want them to get rid of TC and launch control if they still use it. The V10s need to go too, they might be limited on the top end power but they have more torque out of corners. If Red Bull have managed to get a V8 for one team they should have been forced to buy more of the same. No excuse.
My other but last rant is this. I can't see how the FIA have manged to reduce costs. First they introduced the regulation of one engine for 2 race weekends. That must have cost the engine manufactures huge costs in testing and development alone. As we all know they have now changed it to V8. They also introduced one tyre for the race, again a huge cost in development. Now they are back to changing tyre. How the hell has that saved any money?

I thought by the time they set a flying lap in the 3rd session most of the fuel is burnt off.

No, sessions 1 and 2 are low fuel quali, and session 3 is done with race fuel load. This means they spend the first 7 laps faffing about burning off fuel to get a good final quali time. Stupid really.

Yes I know that, thats what I put.
I'm not mentioning the result I want to happen because when I do things go wrong. I'll just ask for another exciting weekend.

The uncertainty over which McLaren is going to go BANG next is brilliant!
Bring back low fuel, fastest lap.
That's what I want to see, the best drivers on the edge, not arsing about with strategy. Strategy is for the race, qualifying is for seeing who's the fastest. IMO
I miss the 60 minute 12 lap sessions, I didn't care if nothing happened for 40 minutes.

I enjoyed it. I too miss the everyman for himself, it was great in the last 5 mins to see Senna take pole. Perhaps 2 30 minute sessions would be good but to be honest the new formatt was very entertaining. Malaysia, Brasil, Indy, Belguim and Bahrain seem to be the only gps that have a bit of exitement in so hopefully the new regs will do something abouty that.
