Default Mazda RX500

Although these images are taken from Gran Turismo 6, I understand the 1970 Mazda RX500 was a real car hence why I've posted in this section. I'd never heard of it before but I wondered if Mr Graves (or any other gurus) can give us some more history.

I'm strangely drawn to it as the writing on the back reminds me of a local french polisher whose Omega is splattered with his business name in a similar typeface ...

In keeping with all rotary-engined cars, it makes an interesting noise ...

I'm sure there was a thread on here months ago on the RX500. I can remember doing a bit of research on it as I had never heard of it either.

Nope - new one on me.

Then again, I've long admired Mazda's inventiveness, so it doesn't surprise me.

Paint it red and it'll look like something Captain Scarlet would drive.......

Sidewalls on the tyres are gorgeous.

The old man brought me a Schuco model C111 back from a business trip to Milan when I was about 8. I played with it to the point of destruction and only later realised it might actually have been a valuable toy had I looked after it ...

A quick Google and here it is ...
