Top Gear online ahs posted a link to a guy doing the Nurburgring and getting the road-legal car lap record.

It's an SR8 Radical and he is almost as quick as me on PGR3

What does the first comment say (in French)? Something about look at the kind of car he's in being bad, then "I could do better in a Twingo"?

You can see why an Elise/Exige are only average at the ring (one or two secs off the S2K in actual fact). During the first few corners, an Elise would leave most things standing, but the rest is all fast corners where the Elise completely loses its advantage.

Still want to go in mine though.

That would be a long torturous drive all that way!

I used to have a Lotus s/s exhaust on mine and I wore
earplugs on the motorway, felt like I was on my YZF.

With that thing's ride height, I guess it's no wonder he was pretty respectful of the kerbs, except of course the one he clunked at Aremberg ...
