with Ajs

Despite my best efforts Doris got herself a Cooper last year. I have to admit of all the small hatchbacks we looked at it did feel the best built, and nicest to drive.

But for me they are far to common and fall into that boring everyday car category normally reserved for Vauxhalls and Fords. I do love the way Mini owners think they are being individuals by plastering their car with a load of "unique" badges.

Are they the new Corsa? No not yet.

For the younger members, Issigonis Minis were decked out like that and fitted with some terribly dubious go-faster mods, as soon as they reached rusty third-hand status.

There is no reason at all to suppose history will not repeat itself yet again.

We have two new Minis in our household - both Coopers. As everyday tools they're great - economical, fun to drive and plenty of toys.

Overall opinion - quite pricey (Sarah's was

Never mind the image or cost, the Cooper I used to drive about just felt plain nasty.

I don't know if it was a duff one but there was a sort of 'rubbery' feel to the steering, brakes, suspension and gear change

Far too common. Mainly driven by blondes. Although I've seen a couple of blokes driving the cabrio......oh dear...
