Hello,

The bonet catch on my mondeo is playing up, it wont lock the bonet in the fully down position.

Its locked on the first lock but not fully down if you know what i meen.

It isnt seized and has had a good coat of WD40 just in case but still not catching.

Any advice?

 

The gunk really gets into all the areas on the bonnet catch mechanism. It certainly did on my Y reg one anyway.

Make sure it is really clean and give it a liberal greasing. WD40 didn't work on mine, the AA guy fixed it as an additional point once when he came out to fix a drive shaft issue. Clean connection and grease is your friend Rob
