Why in gods name in 2007 are we still getting F1 and MotoGP in 4:3.

But I couldn't believe how much quicker that Ducati was in comparison to Rossi's Yamaha - amazing. . .

Agreed, 20kph quicker on the straights!

I was intrigued also by the Ducatti's "gear driven" valves which help it rev to 20krpm. Why haven't Honda/Toyota done something like that with their roadcar engines?

It's expensive. Honda's VFR used to have gear rather than chain driven cams but later VFRs reverted to chain drive. So the technology is there.
