Excellent day out, The ducatis sound amazing first hand

Thought Colin Edwards did really well.

However it just took me 4 hours 15 minutes to get home in the rain, not so awesome. I now have blue arms and legs where my leathers have dyed them.

I enjoyed it too, being only about 50 yards away.

CE did fantastically well. He seemed down and out after the first few laps but you could see him pegging the front riders back each lap.

Pics to put on later.

I'm never going to Donington by car again. 3 hours to get out of the bloody field/swamp, and another 30 mins to get onto the motorway!!

Haven't been since '05 for that reason! I'll be giving Silverstone a go next year though

The track may not be as suited to bikes or all round viewing as Donnington, but the spectator facilities will be significantly better and the trafic management is light years ahead of Donnington!

Even at SS, I'll only go if good weather, and on the bike. I've not heard fantastic things about SS either.

At least the car parks have hard standing and the dual carriageway runs up to the door. Can't be any worse than Donnington from that point of view. The only issue with SS, and it's a biggy for me, is the souless corporate nature of the circuit. All the best viewing areas for F1 have been reserved for corporate hospitality, I hope this isn't the same for Moto GP.

Some nice photos San. Cheers for posting them up, glad to hear you enjoyed yourself, just a shame about the weather

Donington's access is shocking, and has been for some years now. I've never been to Silverstone on a race day so I can't comment on that. But from what I've been told and read, the dual carriage way and hard standing car parking have improved things.

Lucky old Prince Harry.
