Motoring Onbudsman ?
OK if you buy a new car and it turns out to be a lemon, the dealer isn't willing to do anything futher then who can you go to legally.
Is there a motoring industry onbudsman at all ??

Might be worth having a look at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders' website - I know they have a conciliation service which their members are required to adhere to, followed I think by a legally binding arbitration clause.
Bear in mind, however, that the SMMT is a bit of an industry talking shop and exists to protect and promote manufacturers and dealers....

Trading standards are your best bet I'd have thought, followed by small claims court to get things fixed properly.
