If it's a weekend car (and you have a garage), then for me the only answer is a supercharged atom.

Hi there,

Cheers for the replies lads, plenty to be getting on with! The atom looks too much like a go-kart; porsches are too common; the monaro is too close to WRX and Evo territory for my liking and i think BMW saloon cars, and to some extent Porsches as well, have a certain stereotypical attachment ie. the type of people that drive them, if you know what i mean. I want something that's gonna turn heads; guess i'm just an exhibitionist at heart!

Cheers, Matt

csl would turn the heads of folk who are in the know. but if you just want to turn everyone's head (or just chick's heads) then buy a fezza. maybe a tad over your budget.

It's almost exactly the wrong amount of money to be looking at!

Too much for an Elise/track/outrageous fun car.

You'd need far more to get a truly 'better' car than the S2000, that isn't too fast or too refined to be fun.

Only the Tuscan S really does it & you've got the reliability/running issues to contend with.

It's a very difficult one.

You'd get a 348 for your budget but it's older than 3-4 years

Lotus Europa?
Cayman (might get one)

for head turner, you're going to struggle at that price.

SL350?
645i

Marcos ?

Cheers for the suggestions, i'll have a look and see what's around. I think you're right though, it is an awkward amount, kinda in-between. Might just wait for a while and save up some more; at least the S is still around to keep me company!

It's the default choice, really.

Getting hard to find as a result.

Elise 111R.
Not that I would ever pay more than 20K for a car but if I was going to, that would be my choice (that is a self imposed limit to stop me ruining myself)
