Eunos imports have a bit of a stigma to them, a cheapskate option.
I dont understand this bit. I got a Eunos because it had the extra bits a uk car didnt. I wanted aircon,LSD,1.8 engine,special colour ect. Far easier to get an import that had all i wanted. How is it the cheapskate option?

I brought a standard G ltd edition and have added coilovers,ARB,braces and some decent lightweight wheels but the rest is stock. Dont think i will ever sell it because its to much fun to drive.

Thats the proper ride height for an MX5 Though its a struggle getting in.

I think that's part of the charm of the 'proper' ones;

I ordered the base 1.8 with nothing on it, for lightweight thrills. It was a superb drive.

The Eunos had tarty bling and an auto option for the poseurs/JDM chic-lovers.

There is plenty of aftermarket toot to personalise the car, so you can really build a personal/custom car.

My ex had a mk2 1.6 MX-5. I drove it on occasion and it was a good, fun, honest, communicative car. Lovely gearbox, usual Japanese reliability. She didn't really appreciate how nice the car was though and preferred driving her Mum's mk4 Golf diesel... some people eh

It does frustrate me when some people choose something like a crappy 206CC over an MX-5, the correct choice is not a difficult one! (MX-5 is a far, far better drive & much better reliability!)

Isn't the ride height of the MkIII down to the pedestrian safety regs (which mean that there will never be a great low nosed small roadster again).

Last time I was at Center Gravity, Chris was working on a MkIII which had had the "proper" springs put back on. It looked ao much better.
Correct, USA regs. I believe.
Interesting to reflect that Mazda themselves offer a modification lower the car.
A popular option & one that does not compromise comfort and of course makes the cars stance look less gawky.

Chis told me he 'sorts' many MX-5's.
