Yep, looked at Corvettes too but wanted the Z06 performance and a convertible. Came across the Viper and thought it was perfect

Yes I know what you mean. They have the Grand Sport coming out in 2010 which try's to bridge the gap. I think the problem is they can't get the aluminum chassis of the Z06 rigid enough for a convertible so they have put the ZO6 bits on a steel chassis and called the Grand Sport.
