I dont like the look of the 1 series, but you can see its going to be a little special...

Hope it looks better once the covers are off, as it looks pretty much like a 1 series in those pics.

I like the idea though. It's probably about the size an M3 used to be

Really hope it doens't have headrests with metal poles either - it's beyond me why there are so many cars with such archaic features like that! Pet hate of mine - I like 1 piece seats.

Have to admit I've never been that keen on the "noddy car" looks of the 1 series. Even if this car had exceptional handling and power, I still think I'd struggle to like it.

MB makes a good point. It's almost a step back.

Although it's too heavy to be an e30 comparable and won't be anywhere near the handling characteristics but may have similar power.

And it sounds like it's an 1M rather than an M1.

Seems odd to launch one now, with the new car due in 2012?

Why do they cover secret test vehicles in 1970's wallpaper all of the time? I thought the aim was to be secretive and stealthy when testing cars so people dont notice them....

Ignoring the shape mis-leading wall paper, I think it's been beaten with an ugly stick, left to recover and then given another sound beating.

The proportions are all wrong and it looks awful.

Aesthetics alone would mean I wouldn't get one

It makes it really hard to interpret the photo of a prototype & get meaningful 'renderings' from it.

It doesn't work here, because one's mind already knows what an Einser looks like & fills in the blanks. Unfortunately...
