New NSX.
Although I didn't get on with the R8 I think it's going to be a case of Audi have already done it.
Pretty much like the Peugeot RCZ, it looks like a great little car but didn't Audi make it 15 years ago and call it a TT?
It's also not going to compete with the 458, they pulled that trump card with the original NSX, yes it was a better car than the 348 but it still didn't persuade enough people away from the prancing horse.
I 'might' dabble after I've had a drive, a stripped out type R would tempt me more.

You are all possibly overlooking the potential cleverness of e-SHAWD; it could be the breakthrough that introduces electric motors to cars via supreme handling.
The problem ATM is, the batteries tire on twisty circuits, which means a compounded turbocharger is needed; one of those e-bay specials in reverse!
The car is running a 7DCT, BTW.
Honda tried to piggyback the AGW/New World Order BS and it blew up badly in their face. The NSX HAS to be capable of doing well at LeMans and therefore is aimed more at GT3s and R35GTRs than the Audi Realestateagent8 market. It is said to be extremely light.
At least that's the current thinking...

Here's a thought:
The original NSX suffered from a lack of perceived heritage. Now that the NSX name actually means something (even though that only happened once it was no longer in production), it may actually do alright.
I guess much depends on how well it sells in the BRICS and the USA, rather than in Europe.

That is to a certain extent true, but probably only amongst petrolheads.
It's also hampered by Honda's utter brand mismanagement; they cannot even decide if it's an Acura, a Honda, both, etc, etc. That's before the clusterfuc k that is Bagpuss & the new CR-V, the ILX which doesn't cannot fit a 2.4 Auto into its shell, etc...
History tends to repeat and thus, I anticipate the NSX being another technically noble market failure.

That's true, Honda's marketing was and is utterly appalling.
Then again, they did get Ironman to buy one, so it is cool
Just some numbers relating to sales:
Total NSX Production 91 - 05 18,685
Total 348 Production 89-94 8,720 - NSX 91-93 Production 10,507
Total 355 Production 94-99 7,492 - NSX Production in the same period 5,439
This is when things really changed:
Total 360 Production 98-04 16,000 - NSX Production in the same period 2,739
I love stats, me!

I wonder how much respectively the mfr.s lost or made on those cars!
The problem is, Honda couldn't think outside the mass-production box & chose not to develop the NSX and it rapidly dwindled into oblivion. The -T and 3.2 were rather too little too late, post-94.
They've apparently realised their mistake. Probably too late...
I saw this car yesterday at the Geneva Motor Show. It does look very good. The example they had there had beautiful leather inside it. The car seems quite compact, stylish yet dynamic.[attachment=35383:IMG_3114.jpg][attachment=35384:IMG_3116.jpg]
