Go on Nick, tell us what you really think.

I quite like the shape. The interior is woeful though. And just slightly antiseptic to drive.

Ditch the run-flats an it'll be a much nicer car to drive!

Same engine as my car so goes pretty well too!

The overly assisted poor electronic steering always let it down for me, and combined with the rubbish run flats and it's tendency to tramline, it really put me off.

However, with the facelift also came a news suspension setup which is meant to have improved the handling, but I haven't driven a facelifted model.

BMW went backwards with the wheels though, and in a seemlingly cost cutting exercise just put on the 3 series M Sport alloys which had been around for years, and it really does not suite them. The split rim 5 spokes are gorgeous though and one of the best looking alloys around.

Last weekend my wife and went to look at the Z4 and TTR for her next car. She likes the Z4 and I like the TT. I think she may go for the TT in the end as the interior is gorgeous, it has a good flappy paddle gearbox which she likes and will have vastly superior residuals. Got to convince her to get a white one now

I'm the opposite with the wheels. The split rims are horrible! Thet look too busy, and they corrode where the parts meet. Don't like them at all. The MV2s are much nicer and are what I have chosen. Can't even begin to understand how the interior is woeful! I was not a fan of the styling when it was released, but the quality is fine.

How on earth the engine is "under engineered" is also a big puzzle!!! What on earth does that mean!?

As has been pointed out already, it is the same engine as is used in the E46 3 series including the 330ci which I owned between 2003 - 2006. A great car and a great engine.

I've also got a 330Ci Cab with the MV2 alloys... great fun to clean

The engine is a great engine, and won many engine of the year awards. New the 3.0 in the Si models is even better and revs much more freely to the redline.

I hate cleaning them - I almost took the car to the local Albanians to have her valeted, but I came to my senses when I remember seeing them drop sponges on the ground, then carry on washing the cars!
