Default New Subaru WRC Impreza

After the very disappointing looks of the the new Subaru Impreza.

Pictures of the WRC version have just been released and is due to be on display at the Frankfurt motor show.

Piccy shamelessly nicked from Pistonheads.

If they bring out that version for us mere mortals (minus the decal stickerage) I think it will gain some interest.

Looks like a cross with a Saab and a Alfa.

Have to say I was looking forward to pics of the new STi and WRC cars, as I thought they might look ok, but I'm not sure about that - looks a bit beetle like... (not the car, the insect!) Bonnet looks too small in relation to the rest.

There's a reason for that & the improvement in the plastic;

The old one was sold as a SAAB 92X in the US.

Yes, they saw right through it.

True Kobe,

But much 'strong corporate identity' is actually a euphemism for 'fc uking ugly' Like the current Mercedes, as an example.

Even the Paul Bracq and Bruno Sacco-era Mercedes were, well, challenging, if distinctive.

You can also get that front end attached to some GM Redneck pickup truck.

Under the stupid slogan "Born from Jets." Benny & the Jets more like.

GM could write a book on selling-out & brand mismanagement.

They probably only survive due to the positive associations of GM foods.

Corn-syrup slurping lardass muppets.
