This is my new everyday car,a Suzuki Swift sport, and I bloody love it !. Some of our former cars were Fiesta XR2, Saxo VTR, Peugeot 106 GTI, this really takes me back to those days....highly recommended, if you enjoy driving the `S` you will like one of these.

Looks good I do like the look of these.

These days I'm liking my warm hatch remapped fabia VRS diesel

I've found it quicker than saxo VTS's by quite a bit, but the car is just a daily really.

They always had an excellent reputation, but seemed to get forgotten recently.

Best of luck with it.

I think they were competing with the mini really, but I'd have a swift over a mini.

Thing is they don't make anything hot hatch.

Warm hatches are sometimes nicer than hot ones. Especially as the roads turn into dirt tracks.

Given the recent MINI thread, I'm embarrassed I'd forgotten about the Swift!

... which aptly describes my 5dr GLX ...

(It's actually in need of some new front suspension bushes but I'm told it's cheaper and quicker to just fit new wishbones. I'm also getting occasional juddering/shuddering on low speed getaways. Google says a worn or contaminated clutch plate. Thoughts? It's certainly not slipping ...)

It could be knackered/torn engine mounts - excessive clutch judder is a sign of it on Preludes.

Presumably that's an "engine out" job and so not cheap? I can live with it for the time being and it's currently intermittent enough that it would be unlikely to interfere with any sale. If I do nothing, what may happen?

It's often easy to replace mounts

You jack/hoist the engine a touch to take the weight off.

A long time since I did one but wasn't engine out by any means

takes me back... my second car was a 93' Swift gti... in it's da that little 1300 twin cam was a screamer and I loved it! compared to the 205 gti's and clio's of their time it was pretty exclusive too.. much like the new one I guess.

Good job!
