Saw a Silver one yesterday in Cheddar, most unimpressed.

Not yet SC

TBH i'm going off it in favour of the R34, AJ. It's smaller, lighter and has one of those gear stick things. I also prefer the look, as old as it is...

It's one hell of a machine but the issue I have is that it's so fast I doubt you could enjoy it on the road.

It's also too expensive to track, and not a track car.

It's also too big to fit in most car parks.

So i'm confused as to how I would even use one. I think you can have a lot more fun at a lower speed too, like the S2000.

* I will still probably go for one even given the above

I'd never not buy a car because of "chav" image. Lets face it, people seem to tag any decent car with that.

PS - I don't think i've been in anything as fast as a GTR. On track it made my tweaked Loti seem pedestrian. THe speed and G force is bewildering!

Some people will have an "image problem" with all cars they don't like.

Fek them all - buy what you like

My 360 owning friend is off for a test drive in a GT-R very soon - I'll be very interested to hear his opinion.

His Nissan sales-person experience was amusing apparently - as a farmer he's not exactly a picture of sartorial elegance during weekdays and the wide-knot-tie, hair-gel equipped, plastic soled shoes sales guys were almost dismissive of him...

I'm intruiged by the "too large for car parks" comment. I saw one parked up next to a 5-series, and they are of comparable size.
Car-----Length-----Width
GTR------4650------1895
5 Series--4841------1846
X5--------4854------1933
M3--------4615------1804

I do agree with "too fast for the road", I sometimes think the S2000 is a bit like that and think about an MX-5...
