No Longer an Owner
Well, after the best part of 7 years, 90 000 miles and a Red JDM 99 and a Black UK 04, I no longer have an S2000 on the driveway.
Instead I'm awaiting the arrival sometime later this year of a big yellow left hook convertible from Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Having some spare cash has allowed me to indulge myself on something I've wanted to get for years - a Corvette.
It's not going to rev to 9K or change gear quite so slickly - and the roof is a little slower
but it's got 400+ bhp, similar torque and a nifty head up display
It also has some slight association with the Le Mans GT1 winners - something the S always lacked. It also has the rarity factor I enjoyed with the S when I first bought one.
And it's not a Porsche
LHD in a big car was initially scary on the test drive - but you got used to it extremely quickly.
So if someone in a bright yellow C6 Vet Convertible flashes you and waves, it might be me in my Xmas present
