Default NSX smashed up!

Just got back into Edinburgh after a weekend in Aberdeen and there was a lovely looking blue NSX smashed up just after the roundabout between the Barnton and Maybury junctions. One middle age owner - seemed unhurt - looking rather sorry for himself as he diverted traffic around his destroyed pride and joy. It looks like he caught a tank slapper coming off the roundabout (dry btw) and put the front end through the central reservation.

The damage looked pretty heavy I've gunned it off that roundabout many times in the S2000 and it simply doesn't have the power to kick the rear out in the dry so clearly the NSX is something of a different animal!

Shame

It's possible he was forced into it by some idiot in a 4x4 in the inside lane with no lane discipline.
That has nearly happened to me a couple of times there.

dual carraigeway both lanes exit the roundabout.

Dumb tw@t starts in left hand lane. Cuts right across bothlanes and exits in right hand lane. Completley oblivious to any cars in the other lane

I'd kill em all if I could

I know exactly what you mean - its a bit tight there and you have to keep your wits around you. There was no other vehicles involved or stopped though. Looked like a nice example as well!

It is quite tight that roundabout, and heading north to south there is a bit of reverse camber on the exit followed by some manhole covers IIRC.

I am usually a bit circumspect booting it on the exit because of this, and the lack of room to catch a wayward rear - never had grip problems there before though.

Should keep the Abbeyhill bodyshop in work for a while then

The NSX's set-up (incl. RWS toe change) is quite similar to the S2000's.

Hardly surprising if it gets a bit lairy on off-camber roundabouts. In the wet.

It is sad though.

Still, it's only a load of old coke cans, so long as no-one's hurt.
