If you like your high-speed driving thrills both on and off the road, you might want to download this trailer :

It's hard to drive home in the S at night sometimes after doing this all day at work....

This is a VERY different game to GTA3 - this is a pure arcade racer very much in the SEGA or Namco mould...

But thanks for the comment and watch out for the game when it ships in October...

Maybe we should make a dedicated S2000 title sometime...

It was one of the star cars in GT 3 - I remember a yellow one featured as the centrepiece of a lot of the advertising.

Also one briefly in Tekken intro.

Dedicated S2k game would be great though

Holy ****!!!!

I have GOT to own that game!

The physics model for impacts and the damage incurred is gob smacking! Pure arcade racer, just like what we all need sometimes

Glad you like it Tifosi, all I can say is that the footage was done a few weeks back, and there is a lot more that has gone in since then.

It sounds naff, but you ain't seen nothing yet.

There are seven standard cars at the start of the game.

There are seven secret cars, which celebrate US auto culture.

Then the second half of the game is what we call the Custom Series. You unlock modified and tuned versions of the standard cars.

These are the 'boy racer' 'fast and furious' type cars that we often see congregating behind the local drive-through McDonald's.

Bodykits, decals, tuned engine and handling, maybe even UV light underneath...(ok, maybe not!)

I won't say any more as we've got to finish it first.

If you let me know how to get my 02 black/black to shine as much as some of the cars I've seen here you can get a free copy.

If I hadn't been working flat out for the past ten months I would have loved to have come to some of the meets, but my car is so dirty (all black attracts 'bird bombs' like you wouldn't believe!) there is no way I would turn up. You'd probably all make me park in the shadows or something.

If I manage to make the Supermeet, (which is unlikely at this point) maybe I'd bring the finished version for you lot to get an exclusive play before the game ships....

Whoa baby... this looks cool

I never got the first Burnout, too busy on GT3. But I think I'll have to be getting this one.

Unfortunately, with these "promos" you rarely get to see actual game footage.
The clips we see here are the, now obligatory, replay scenes. I'm sure that the in play shots would be just as nice. I did get to play the first and it was very good. So I'd expect this to be even better.

Oh yeah... Count me in on the play testing as well.

P.S. Mr B. How do I get a job like yours and will it pay enough.

Those of replays of us playing the game. We're only a small team so we can't spend as much time on them as say GT3.

How do you get in ?

Start at the bottom, which is often games testing. This is where I started.

Best jobs are advertised in the back of EDGE magazine.
