Just an update.

Got myself a nice new shape 2.5 MY00 Elite (silver with black leather) with 62k genuine (all mot's, hpi, nmr all checks out), new tyres all round etc. for £2k, got a few hundred knocked off asking price too. Mechanic mate gave it a once over, service, sorted tracking etc. and all's well.

No doubt the rocker gasket issue will raise it's head one day but can afford to sort it as and when it happens.

Not sure on the point of the rear blinds guess keeps the heat off rear passengers in summer but really like the auto-dimming rear view mirror and memory electric leather seats etc. Bose speakers too! Leather seats seem more comfy that the standard ones in my dads CDX.

All in all happy with it and suits my needs at the moment with my ever more painful back, at least I can get around in some degree of comfort and I've always liked the way the Omega rides and handles.

Given that I'm not using the S, I'm treating it to a nice stage by stage polish/wax etc. something I've not done for a while and don't have to worry about getting it dirty until winter is over (or on the nice dry weather days that arise).
