My leasing deal is up at the end of the year and I have narrowed my replacement choice down (I think) to

Golf R
Audi RS3
BMW M235i (or perhaps 135i?).

For my leasing preferences, prices per month are roughly coming out at

VW ~ £400
Audi ~ £550
BMW ~ £400

Prices are there more to help the discussion as I'm comfortable with all three.

So far I'm at

Golf R - probably the cheapest but not the slowest, better stock options than the other two
Audi RS3 - the quickest of the three but quite a bit more expensive (value for money?)
M235i - Well put together but options could bump the price up?

Not sure which is the most practical, would like to be able to get a road bike in the back.

What's the experiences with these three cars? Good, bad indifferent?

Anything else out there to consider (not Ford, Vauxhall or French please)?

Cheers

I have the M135i precisely because I can lob the bikes in the back easily. Love it. Nothing wrong with a "poverty spec" one: manual, comes with leather and business nav as standard.

If you're leasing at those costs, rs3. Sounds amazing.

If I was making the choice it would be the M135, it gets great reviews.

Very happy with my M135i. The others will give best "B-road weapon" willy-waving rights but the M135i has a peach of an engine and does the jack-of-all-trades role brilliantly. I think the base-level spec is quite adequate now they've included business nav.

I'd go M235i, RS3, Golf R if it were my choice.

Annoy some salesmen and test drive them all. Perhaps the drivers car out those 3 is the Beemer?
