People selling up
Has the fact that the S is now out of production been the final deciding factor with a lot of the people who of late have decided to sell up and move on I wonder?
Obviously there are loads of reasons to sell and move on but there seems to be quite a number lately who are throwing in the towel.
Or is this just the way of things, natural cycle and all that guff?

People tend to use it as a stepping stone.
Onto a boxster, cayman, Z4m, M3, mx5 etc etc. Plus its not changed much in 10 yrs so not much to move onto in Honda range!

The latter part is very true, Honda currently doesn't make a car I'd want to own.
Don't think it's much different atm, I think there was a worse spell a few months back when there were loads popping up on here. It's mosly financial I would guess, over and above the normal selling up figures.
There does seem to be a lot of people joining of late too.

Regarding people changing cars
I think it's just the normal buying and selling levels, for lots of people the S2000 is just another car which interested them at the time (not a life style statement as some see it), people just fancy a change or decide to go in a different direction, plus there
All of the above and more.
I found the S 2 years ago.
Grabbed a new one in 07, and again in 09.
I love the simplicity of the dash, and what I think the design ( and marketing guys ) were onto.
1960' British sports car ( a la S600, S800 were trying to be )
Reliable
F1 inspired dash ( as per the Senna days )
Balls out Engine low capacity, high power , high revving as per the Honda history
You get it or you don't.
Is it the be all and end all? No.
The world has moved on in 10 years, but I'm not sure it is for the better.
If you recall Clarkson comparing hyper/ super cars a few years ago.
Those from the late 80' through to 90's were far more capable and fun than the latter day equivalents.
What would I move onto....
Some boring piece of Korean, German, Swindon etc as a beater
And a track day Atom.
