Default Peugeot SR1 - WOW!

I like the look of this. Peugeot makes a S2000 replacement with Hybrid technology and they say 313 bhp!! Ok it's only a concept but look at it.

There are an awful lot of angles squabbling with each other on that car!

The fundamental shape is good though - it's a nice, squat looking thing, if they've any sense they'd iron all those unnecessary creases out of the body panels first.

I'm a bit sceptical about the figures though;

1.6 turbo with 315 bhp all at only 58mpg? I know there's a motor working with that but it just sounds a bit too optimistic and a giant leap beyond what's been available up to now.

Even if it does offer that performance it's never going to be the robust overall package that the S2K was, you're going to have to continually replenish two fuel sources for a start.

usual loft claims for a concept
