Default Pot Holes

No damage as yet as the car has not moved for 10 days....(no such thing as a snow day when you work from home...)

Out of interest, has anyone successfully sued a local authority (or at least received recompence for loss) following damage caused by potholes? I understand that the LA's are up against it now allthe tarmac has blown thanks to the ice, but they are responsible for keeping the roads in 'roadworthy' condition, and whilst they maybe repairing roads, budgets are stretched and lots will not be fixed. There are a few round by us, that must be 4-5 inches deep and easily wide enough for the whole width to fall into...this must be similar to driving into a kerb at 30mph if you are unlucky enough to fall into one....

Of course, I would sooner avoid one that try to get any cash out of the council, although sometimes you just have to grin and bear it as you rattle over them...

Just thought I would get this underway as no doubt if not already there will be a major pot hole coming to your roads soon.

Phil

oops, just drove down one this morning!

Would love to get an alignment check out of the local council but life is too short.

New tyre & wheel for the Prelude some years ago.

4 new wheels, 2 lower arms and an engine undertray on the previous Leon from Milton Keynes CC.

Wasn't too much hassle considering the size of the bill.

That may have had something to do with the other 30 or so people who rang them about the same thing on the same day

Half the trouble is the piss poor repairs they do on the road. If they laid them properly in the first place they wouldn't open up so quickly.
