which is the remap ? and wahts the car ? i tend to like places that do a rolling road remap so they can acutally make sure the results and tweeks are doing all they should , ive seen some cheap remaps ( normally on audi/seat etc ) were you can ' switch ' and they are normally quite poor... and very generic

Is there an owners club forum for whatever family car you're driving now, Danny? That's likely to be the best place to get a considered opinion on the relative pros and cons of different ECU remaps.

I've been looking at it for the newly-acquired ASBO and was pleasantly surprised to see that all three of the most popular remapping devices seem to offer about 40-50bhp for

Thanks guys, the volvo forum for some reason is closed (something to do with politics or some such. The international one isn't very active but just like S2ki their search function is total cack.

It's a V70 D5 AWD auto, if I'm being honest it's got quite a bit of poke already at 185PS but I want more!

Tom the custom remaps are the best for performance but I wonder if past a certain level of tune it's a case of diminishing returns vs. cost relative to the generic ones. Also the BSR one gets updated as they do service updates and I can reapply the software if it gets overwritten. I can also rewrite the ECU back to stock if for whatever reason I need to

Mark, who does the ASBO remaps in question?

The three main ones are by Dreamscience, Bluefin (aka Superchips, whom you've obviously already heard of) and Wolf Racing's Code Red remap.

I think Morego do one too, but it's nowhere as widely used on the ST Owners Club forum.
