Wife's got a 'from new' 1.4 Clio - 02 Reg - done 50+k miles - only mechanicals so far - steering gaiter. Mind you service schedule says time has come for a cambelt change - which because of the stupid arrengement of the AC costs a small fortune.
Been down to Provence a few times - cruises quite well on the autoroutes.

Kate has a Fiesta, it's OK but nothing special.

It's a 1.6 so holds it's own against modern traffic, had all the options boxes ticked when it was new so has leather, a/c, reversing sensors (why?) etc. and is surprisingly comfy over long distances.

It will never set the world on fire but it's cheap to run, cheap to insure, isn't French so won't fall apart next Thursday and is more fun to drive than I thought it was going to be. It's a '55' plate but feels like new still.

We've got a Mitubishi CZ1 - super little car. Ideal for our town and "round the house's" usage. Quite nippy as well, depite only having 3 cylinders

You need an FD2
If you know of any going for within my budget, I'll happily rip the seller's arm off!

You can't go wrong with a Fiesta 1.25 or 1.4 Zetec

Nippy town car, cheap to fix and ok to drive

Peanuts to buy

They do drive nicely, Fords.

Never thought I'd say that; the Fiesta used to be depressing.
