R34 GTR
With a half decent map it's probably mid-high 300s in the horsepower stakes.
Oh does anyone remember the 276bhp 'gentleman's agreement days'? What a humorous ruse that turned out to be!
At the money mentioned here I'd not be tempted at all.
A lot of moolah is £50k and you're talking quite old now
I'm quite tempted by the Alfa 4C at less than that money, with limited supply they should hold their money fairly well
Finding an unfettled one must be a worthy challenge for you though

I wouldnt pay 50k. You're into very difficult resale territory there and open to a big hit.
30k maybe for a V Spec.
Unlike the NSX though, it's a bit of a minefield as there's a lot to go wrong and many have fallen into bad hands.
The 4C sounds like a great idea badly executed
Id far sooner have an Exige V6.
Good to see some fellow R34 fans on here though

Love the R34 GTR, favourite Japanese car of that era. As someone said above im doing the same working through those cars, i have a Supra TT but an Rx7 may be next and then a NSX/R34 (with the R34 being the best imo). Only had a passenger ride around a track in an slightly tuned R33 GTR. Unbelieveable grip and acceleration out of corners, heavy in them though and brakes/engine temperatures take a beating. For me it'd be the rare M-Spec Nur in champagne gold with Nismo skirt kit all round and RAYS wheels, love the leather look of those seats. The UK spec interior doesn't seem as nice.
My mate has an R34 GTR running 600 ish bhp.
Its crazy off the mark and probably the fastest car I've even been in, I was tempted to buy it off him at one point. They do feel like a big car though and felt more like a GT cruiser than a car for b-road blasts.
They do hold there money though and even if you were to buy one for a short period I'd imagine you would lose very little money, buy the right one and you'd probably make some money.

Was looking at a midnight purple (farer out than bayside blue!) before I bought the Legend.
It was ultimately the age factor/running costs/stupidly fastness/not really what I required that put me off. And the cruder 4WD system.
But I'd not say no to a go...

Extremely rare in the UK and still an 'IT' car for me. Absolutely incredible bits of kit & oh-so capable.
I think they outshine most exotica without struggling as most people know that they can be noticeably more powerful than much of the competition.
I'd love one. I'd love the space to keep it too.
