I guess its all relative to the rider and how big his nuts are.. the road isnt really the place for the sports bikes to show what they can do either.. Having had the 600s before the Blade, i think sometimes its more enjoyable to be wringing the neck of a 600 than trying to balance the power/grip of a thou.. Noticed the R6 redlines around 17.5k!!

That's what the tacho says. A few people found different when they got theirs on the dyno.
A modern 600 is certainly fast enough for most people. My 98 R1 would struggle to keep up with a new R6.

I have had a couple of R6s in the past. Both were very good bikes but I have always thought the new one is a bit too track focused and therefore decided to move up to an R1 when I last changed.

I don't ride the R1 any faster than I did on the R6, I just change gears less.
