yes it is Ben, he gets credited as a technical consultant

you've also seen him in flesh on Top Gear he was in the episode where they raced a Bowler and an EVO down a hillside against a kid on a skateboard thing.

He overcooked the EVO speed at the bottom and slid through a fence.

Perry was the original in black, and wrote an autobiography where he talked about his time as the stig and even openly said if he was busy one week doing something else they just got someone else in to cover him!

I always thought the whole point of the Stig being unidentified was that thye could put any top flight racing driver in the car without people knowing/caring.

Perry Macarthy was a complete knacker on Sky's F1 converage a few years ago.

They can't do that! It would completely ruin the unquestionable validity of the Top Gear track times.

I read that The Stig was an ex Essex boy-racer. Been keeping up the traditions proudly.

Not me though.
I was told the same by someone who races in the Radical championship. He said one of the drivers in that has covered for the stig..
