Trulli/Toyota 3rd place re-instated.

Right decision, however it begs the question, why didn't they investigate properly BEFORE stripping Truilli of 3rd place.

Althought it sounds like Hamilton will lose ALL his points (i.e. not just demoted back to 4th).

Sounds all like a bit of a mess, I guess there was no intentional gain/loss, just confusion on part of both drivers/teams not knowing what they should do.

Yep. They've lost all points.
What's the point?
They really mess up badly quite a lot don't they?

What happened here?

If I understand it, Trulli was 3rd when the safety car period began.

Trulli then cocked up/left the circuit and Hamilton passed him.

Hamilton then allows Trulli back past as he has "overtaken" under the safety car.

If that's what happened, it seems fair enough Hamilton gets 3rd and Trulli 4th.

Anyone else got a better explanation?
That is the way i'd have put it but I guess the Stewards had other ideas.

Do feel a bit sorry for Hamilton, but he shouldn't have told porkies.

Interesting 1st practive session......Williams fastest, Brawn 2nd fastest. (Gaz - Rosberg going well )

Most intesting was a fault which develped on Kimi's car towards the end of the session - smoke coming from cockpit, Kimi stopped & exited very quickly, byt stood on his seat and leapt clear! Team very slow in attending to the car, and when they did were wearing face masks. No comment from Ferrari yet, but looked like a KERS 'issue' to me!

Nice to see the Brawn cars still running in team livery.

The problem with Raikkonens car was the extinguisher going off.
Could be related to the KERS, all marshals have to approach the cars carefully now.

Looks like Dave Ryan (Team Manager) has take the bullet for the radio debacle in Australia.

2nd practice session Ferrari 1-2 (Kimi fastest!)

It has always been a Ferrari track, so the question is, are they quick again or were Brawn / Williams running a shed load of fuel in practice 2?

The Red Bulls continue to look good as well.

I don't think that you can read too much in to the practice - why would Brawn need to show there hand - last w/e was good enough exposure for potential sponsors.

Qualifying will be interesting though.

McLaren admit Hamilton and Ryan were "not entirely telling the truth", yet suspend only Ryan.

Not excusing either of them, but 35 years at McLaren versus "the talent" and it's Ryan who gets suspended.

Senior member of the team takes the bullet. Hamilton was only obeying orders from a superior They Are hardly going to let Heikki be top driver are they.
