I'm venturing a reason, not an excuse. When I think back to when I was 24 I'm sure that I made bad decisions which I wouldn't make now.

Whatever the actual reason might be, I think that LH got off very lightly.

Yep - good point, although it's a hell of a daft decision to try and and get away with something like that

If I was I might have acted on bad advice from one of them.

I reckon Hamilton has completely been following instruction. He's a company man all the way through.

I'd agree. That's why he has:

A. Publicly criticised the car before even getting to a race and then winged all the way through
Australia and after.
B. Publicly stated that he would look at alternate drives.
C. Publicly put a knife in the back of his colleague after he's been sacked to defer any blame from
himself

He's a petulant kid who has thrown his toys out of the pram because he doesn't have a car that's worthy of his other wordly talent.

so nothing would have made any difference then?

must be something to do with the personality then

since there are plenty of 24 year olds - equally high profile too - who aren't spineless, lying little shits

The stewards will now take anything that LH says with a large pinch of salt in any investigation, he's screwed it up for this season even if he's not to blame in the future. Hero to Zero.?
