Default removing stains from cloth interior

The beater has loads of stains on the seats, mostly from a wet dog that used to jump around in it. I have lived with them since they are purely cosmetic but want to clean them up now if at all possible since we are going to flog the car soon.

any tips on removing aged stains (think water marks / patchy colour variance) from cloth interior?

I tried the turtlewax upholstery foam and that did nothing.

Do you know of any products / old wives mixtures that would work

Otherwise any way to mask the stain? simple cloth dye kits for cars which would work?

edit.. alternatively there are always car seat covers I guess

easiest thing is go hire a carpet cleaner - and make sure it has a small 'spot' head - really works... ideally take the seats out of the car and let them dry in the house or sun - but this is the only way ive found to really make them ' as goo das new ' the foam dry cleaning stuf never lifts stains that well

I tried the Vanish foam spray thing for carpets on Lynne's car and it worked quite well.

Then I tried the Vanish soap-bar thing and it helped a lot too.

Still not perfect but certainly a lot better.

I'm a Vanish freak
