I like these, a mate had one when they first came out, a cheap +10bhp is fit an induction kit, ford purposefully defined it with the longest back and forward air intake system known to man, snakes all over the place in the engine bay,

Gonna be completely honest here, dont like the blue interior, but nice aside from that : )

Your sure its going to be more frugal?!? my mate had one for a while and the MPG isnt much better than a S!

Great handling though when i drove it my mate did have eibachs on though but it was quite a good car

Its a mondeo engine so a few subtle mods will yeild easy power if your that way inclined.

Lofty, did you get to try out anything like the little Megane 225 or the R26?
Much cheaper to run, and quicker. Mine at 250bhp was still good for 36mpg on a run

Definitely...I'm averaging 36 MPG on my way to work, which involves a bit of stop/start. I've also had 41 MPG on a run, and that was along the A34 with hills a plenty.

I can't stand French cars...sorry! I also think the Megane has a huge arse, and would feel like a complete tw@t driving one.

My mate must of really had a lead foot, he told me he was taking it easy on long runs and only got 36MPG

You'd you'd like right a right tw@t on the hard shoulder when its pissing down with rain

He definitely has a heavy right foot.

Many owners are getting 44 MPG on a run...beats the hell out of 34 MPG that I got from the S once

The pedals are the only thing that annoy me...

...the accelerator is very close to the brake, and I have to re-adjust my foot on the clutch if I press it in without lifting off it fully...

I'll probably end up fitting aftermarket pedals, or modifying the pedal box to suit my clown feet

Is there space between the clutch and the centre console for you to put your foot?

My gf has the normal version of that fiesta and that's annoying me every time I drive it

No, there isn't

The pedal box is the only thing that grates me.

When I modify the pedals, I'll ensure all the pedals are moved over, putting the accelerator pedal in a more normal position, have greater clearance to the brake, and allow me to rest my foot to the left of the clutch without moving my leg so much.

My brother has a Fiesta ST 150. I'd imagine his is running a little more power as he has a different intake, exhaust and exhaust manifold. Its getting remapped in a few weeks so I'll know then.

He absolutely loves it, and since he fitted the lowering springs it has a great ride height. It goes incredibly well for what is lets remember just a fiesta, he's super happy with it
