was Bellof's lap over the same track layout/distance?

Same layout but his was a flying qualifying lap whereas the Radical was starting from the newer visitor centre on the main straight at about Km 18.

And remember, Bellof's car was full race car, rather than a car which can (but probably won't) be driven on the road. The car was driven to the ring for this test, rather than trailered. They only lowered the suspension once at the ring.

This is the car that Bellof drove that lap in, but with Derek Bell driving

Foooking hell. These guys are loons. If you've been, you will know that a wrong move at those speeds = death.

I'm actually surprised that there haven't been more "testing" incidents with the recent manufacturer obsession with Ring times....

I've managed B to G in 09:10 in my old Saxo

But That lap is seriously quick! and very scary!

The speed and committment is out of this world, but hey that is what they're trained to do and do it all year round

Crashing at that speed with a full roll cage, harnesses with a full roof would be near death - but I don't want to think of the outcome / carnage in that open topped Radical

Proper racing driver in a proper racing car.

Very impressive, but at the same time nothing out of the ordinary.

Puts the 911/GTR lardmobile nonsense into perspective too

Yeah but then people get into the whole "road car" argument.

Personally :WGAF: I just appreciate a great lap in impressive machinery.
