Default Road Trip ideas....

Some of you may have seen a few pics from our road trip in 2008, there were 6 cars (AMV8, Cayman S, 996 Turbo M5, RS6, 545i) and it was basically a lads tour, stopping off at Amsterdam, Berlin, Frankfurt and then the Ring. It was a great trip, as much for the nights out we had and also the driving but we rushed the Ring bit of the trip, arriving there on a Monday morning (German bank holiday as well), doing some laps and then heading off back to Calais to get home about 11pm Monday night.

We're planning one for June 2010 and want to spend a full day at the Ring this time. Theres talk of driving across to Prague for a night out there but i'm trying to put forward some other ideas. Would quite like to enjoy some decent roads, (hopefully i'll be at the wheel of my mates RS4 this time!), and we want 1 or 2 decent places for nights out as well!

Any suggestions for possible routes that people have used would be great. We covered 1600 miles door to door last time but spent too much time on empty autobahns which was fun but gets a bit boring (after you've done 184mph in a Cayman!).

Line up is same mates as last time but cars will be a Sagaris, DB9, E60 M5, RS4 (fingers crossed), and no doubt some others as well.

Jim

Have a look at Spa over in Belgium, and drive the Mossel valley north from Zell, near to the ring.

For organised and supported tours, you won't find better routes or comrades
