Default RS4....

Drove my mates '06 RS4 saloon yesterday... one word... awesome! Love the noise, the acceleration, the way the drivers seat tighten up when you press the sport button.. Nearly lost my licence within 1 mile of having a go in it, so easy to drive and so easy to drive very fast...! Managed to pass a police car just as i'd changed into 3rd so we were easy doing 85. Hoping he comes on the euro road trip now so that I can have a proper drive and take it round the Ring!

I sold mine last June and agree its an awsome car. If your mate hasnt got a Miltek on and wants a little bit extra noise then tell him to disconnect the vacum hoses that open and shut the exhaust flaps. Basically even with the S button pressed the flaps open and close at different rev ranges and this simple mod leaves them open all of the time. You need to block the hoses off and tape them up somewhere but on the overun it just sounds like a spitfire.
I had the reccaro seats which are the comfy seats as my fat arse wouldnt fit in the buckets.

Ive heard about that, my mates has had KW coilovers fitted already so I guess he shouldnt have that problem! Gives a nice ride height, quite low and firm but not a hard bone breaking ride

Do they still have the issue of D-shaped roadwheels?

No, I think that was the RS2 that Porsche help develop.

There are coking issues and the DRC problems are well documented. I had my fronts done and got an additional 2 years warranty on the excisting 3 year warranty. The whole system costs something like 5k but most should be now covered by the additional warranty.

Will be interesting to see if the V8 thats being put in the RS5 will suffer the same.

Is that related to DI and shit petrol?

If so, it's understandable and a bit predictable.

If not, it's a bit unforgivable.
